A quiet house while Ally is gone
The Plank house has been very quiet since Monday, when Ally departed for a brief church camp near Oxford.
Becky and I had grand plans to get a lot of work done around the house. Those plans, unfortunately, were mostly derailed by her morning sickness and my laziness.Instead, we ate out several times, laid around a lot, and generally enjoyed what will likely be one of the last times this house is quiet in a long, long time.
Every time Ally leaves, be it camp this week, or weekends spent with Grandma, we marvel at how much joy and energy she brings to our home.
Luckily, her camp takes lots of pictures, and posts them online for parents who miss their children. Of course, we keep checking for new pictures, and downloading all the ones we find with Ally in them. It's a little like "Where's Waldo?"
